Breast Cancer Haven
The Breast Cancer Haven charity (http://www.breastcancerhaven.org.uk) exists to improve the quality of life for people affected by breast cancer by providing personalised emotional, practical and physical support.
With its Head Office in London, Breast Cancer Haven runs five Havens across the country with a sixth to be opened in Solihull in 2017. Havens are day centres offering free programmes of personalised support to anyone affected by breast cancer.
This is a unique opportunity to become Manager of the Hereford Haven, together with the Worcestershire Royal Hospital satellite. Working as part of the Operations team, you will be responsible for all day to day operational aspects of Breast Cancer Haven Hereford & Worcester as well as new outreach developments in the region. Occasional travel within the wider region and to other regional centres including Head Office in London will be required
Up to £42,000 according to experience
Full time 35 hours per week. You will be required to work some evenings and some Saturdays as required
The Person We Seek
The Breast Cancer Haven Manager will be a registered health care professional and have experience of working in cancer care within the NHS or charity sector. You will be a strong communicator, able to vary your style to get the best out of those around you. You will have experience of delivering and managing clinical and/or supportive services for people with cancer. You will be passionate about the quality of the experience for the people who use the services of Breast Cancer Haven and have an interest in complementary approaches and integrated cancer care.
